THE BEST VISION REQUIRES THE BEST LENSES

Having high performance optics through your glasses is essential for having the most comfortable and clearest vision possible. We believe your vision should never be compromised with poor quality lenses.

At Simply Optometry, we feature premium lenses with the most advanced technology in the industry that can customize your vision to your daily needs. Come see the difference when you get your lenses with us!

LENS TYPES

SINGLE VISION

The most common type of lens is the single vision lens. This lens is focused for one distance only, generally correcting for your full distance prescription. However, this lens can also be prescribed for computer or near so that a patient can have a dedicated pair of glasses based on their working distance.

BIFOCAL

A great option for individuals who need glasses for both distance and near work, but do not like having to switch between separate pairs of glasses. This type of lens allows for a patient to optimize their glasses for two distances, generally distance and near, with a wide area for both. This option is also a good budget option for correction at two distances.

PROGRESSIVE

The most advanced type of lens available, these lenses are built for the individuals who need versatility and range of vision. Progressive lenses, often known as no-line bifocals, are much more than a cosmetic improvement over bifocals. These lenses contain a slow blend of power that correct your vision for far, intermediate, and near distances as you look down in the lens. Because of the advanced technology and precision needed to produce these lenses, the most premium progressive designs, such as the Varilux X Series lens, provide the clearest and most natural vision.

SPECIALTY

Sometimes our vision needs go beyond the common lens options. Some examples include computer lenses, which optimize your vision for a workspace environment; safety lenses, which are designed to be shatterproof and can be used in a hazardous work place; and anti-fatigue lenses such as the Eyezen lens, which helps to reduce eyestrain when reading or on the computer for long periods of time. If you have any specific and unique vision demands in your life, let us work with you to design the best pair of glasses for your needs!

LENS MATERIALS

ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATINGS

Our most popular feature, anti-reflective coatings enhance both the look and the comfort of your lenses. Cosmetically, this coating eliminates the glare off the front surface of the lens, which makes them look crystal clear and transparent so that others can see your eyes. This effect also benefits the wearer, as it reduces the glare that the wearer sees and decreases eyestrain caused by this unwanted glare.

Our premium Crizal and VISO branded coatings are chemically bonded to the surface of the lens so that they will not peel or crack as some standard coatings tend to do. The Prevencia coating is also becoming increasingly popular, as this coating cuts blue-light, which is emitted from electronic devices, LED lights, and the sun, and has been shown to be harmful to eye health.

As a bonus to the visual benefits, these coatings are also scratch resistant and make your lenses much easier to clean!

PHOTOCHROMIC LENSES AND TRANSITIONS

Photochromic lenses change from a clear lens indoors to a tinted lens when activated by ultraviolet light outdoors. This feature is perfect for individuals who want to have one pair of glasses that will act both as regular glasses and also sunglasses outdoors. One disadvantage is that these lenses are activated by UV light, so they can struggle to darken behind the windshield of a car.

At Simply Optometry we feature Transitions brand photochromic lenses. There are many different types of Transitions lenses, including both a standard and extra active version that becomes darker than the standard. If you've tried Transitions in the past, the most recent update- Transitions Generation 8- allows the lenses to darken 30% faster than before while fading back to clear almost 3 minutes faster as well!

POLARIZED

The ultimate lens for glare reduction, this lens is not only a tint, but actually a filter for light that does not hit the lens straight. This means that only light that comes in straight will pass through the lens, reducing glare caused by light coming from the side.

At Simply Optometry we feature Xperio UV polarized lenses that feature complete UV protection and the best glare reduction available. These lenses are finished with a premium scratch resistance coating that allow them to withstand all of your outdoor activities.

With 13 different solid colors, 6 gradient colors, and 3 different mirror finishes, these Xperio UV lenses can be built to suit anybody's outdoor needs!
