From Northern California, Dr. Hua grew up in the city of Sunnyvale, CA. She attended San Francisco State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. After graduating, she spent time gaining experience in the optometric field, working in various private practices in the East Coast. She then moved back to the California, this time to study at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, CA.

After graduating with her doctorate in optometry, Dr. Hua moved to the South Bay area to practice. Dr. Hua has experience providing quality care to patients of all backgrounds and ages, having worked in the Veterans' Affairs system as well as the Boys and Girls Club in Garden Grove. She spent time at the Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, NV, managing complex ocular disease and refractive surgery patients with ophthalmologists.

In her free time, Dr. Hua loves to go hiking, watch movies, play badminton, trying new restaurants, and reading books. Pleasant and personable to her patients, Dr. Hua is here for all of your eye care needs!


A South Bay native, Dr. Hsu grew up in nearby Rancho Palos Verdes where he attended Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. After high school he moved to Orange County and earned his bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. From there, he continued his studies at the Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton, CA, graduating with his doctorate in optometry.

Dr. Hsu is experienced in all facets of optometry including ocular disease, contact lenses, and vision therapy. He has experience working in various settings such as the hospital of Veterans' Affairs in West Los Angeles, the University Eye Center at Los Angeles, the Wellish Vision Institute in Las Vegas, the University Optometric Center at Irvine, and private practices across Southern California. He started Simply Optometry with Dr. Hua to provide eye care to the community he grew up with and give patients the best experience possible for all their eye and vision-related needs.

When he's not working, Dr. Hsu enjoys watching sports including football, basketball, baseball, and tennis. His favorite players and teams include the Los Angeles Angels, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Rams, Kansas City Chiefs, and Roger Federer. Besides sports, he also enjoys cooking, graphic design, playing Tetris, and watching (and critiquing) movies.

Dr. Hsu treats all of his patients like family and wants to invite everybody to Simply Optometry with open arms and a smile- the goal is that you leave with a smile too!
